A study, conducted by the Anti-Corruption Agency in the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency and its subordinate SUE State Center for Expertise and Standardization of Medicines, Medical Devices and Medical Equipment, has revealed a large number of financial errors and shortcomings, as well as gross violations of spending budgetary funds. As a result of the study, a criminal case was initiated. The Investigation Department of the State Security Service is conducting investigative actions.

Moreover, a number of officials were arrested as part of a criminal investigation in connection with the deaths of children diagnosed with acute renal failure due to the side effects of DOK-1 MAX and AMBRONOL syrups.

In particular, based on the collected evidence, Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency and the SUE State Center for Expertise and Standardization of Medicines, Medical Devices and Medical Equipment, S.K. and several accomplices were arrested on suspicion of committing crimes and were subjected to a measure of detention.

During the preliminary investigation, complex investigative and operational actions and relevant examinations are carried out, aimed at determining the circle of persons guilty of importing and admitting to use low-quality medicines in Uzbekistan, and giving a legal assessment of their actions.
