On March 13, the Yangi O‘zbekiston newspaper published an article by Akmal Burkhanov, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, under the heading “No Tolerance for Corruption Plays a Significant Role in Eradicating It.”

The article reflects the important components of the fight against corruption and positive processes in this track:

• encouragement of whistleblowers;

• positive trends that have led to an improvement in the country’s position in international rankings as Transparency International, The Economist, ODIN, Index of Economic Freedom and others over the past four years;

• reforms that served to eradicate corruption in Uzbekistan within the framework of the Development Strategy;

• e-anticor.uz platform, aimed at in-depth analysis of corruption manifestations in all sectors and regions;

• works carried out within the framework of the Sphere without Corruption Project;

• priority tasks planned by the Agency for implementation in the future.
