The Anti-Corruption Agency held a workshop August 25 on the essence and significance of the Law ‘On Anti-Corruption Expertise of Legal Acts and Their Drafts’ for its officers.

Within the framework of the workshop, a responsible officer of the Ministry of Justice made a presentation on the following areas:

• basic principles of anti-corruption expertise of legal acts and their drafts;

• government bodies conducting anti-corruption expertise and their powers;

• factors causing corruption in legal acts and their drafts;

• procedure for conducting anti-corruption expertise;

• liability for violation of this law and control over compliance with established requirements.

During the workshop, the competencies of the Anti-Corruption Agency during the anti-corruption expertise of legal acts were discussed in detail.

According to the law, the Agency, together with the Ministry of Justice, provides methodological support to government bodies and organizations in the course of anti-corruption expertise of legal acts and their drafts.

The workshop ended with the exchange of views on the topic.
